Greetings, Luminous One!
I want to bring you up to date with the story about Binita's orphanage in Nepal (if you missed last week's letter with the video links, you can access it HERE.)
The excellent news is that they have moved into a truly beautiful new house, with plenty of space and even a yard. It has not one, but two kitchens! Having come from a sink and a hot plate for feeding 30 people, 2 outfitted kitchens is quite a step forward.
Not only that, but each child received a brand-new, handsewn mattress so everything is fresh as they start their new lives. I'm so excited for them to be living in a space that honors them appropriately.
Here are just 2 pictures:
If you had seen where they were before, you would know that this quick turnaround of housing in only a few days was miraculous, made possible by a lot of open-hearted people.
One of the lessons I took away from Binita's incredible story was the Courage of her conviction that she was meant to rescue the initial 5 children orphans from their mountain village. Nothing could shake her from that vision, and in that firmly held belief, she persevered to bring her where she is today - a mother of about 30 beautiful souls who love and appreciate her unconditionally.
What Courage it took for Binita to stay the course for 15 years despite all odds!
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow. -Mary Anne Radmacher
Much love and infinite blessings,
-Hope
